When You're Not Feeling It.
Some days you're just not up for it.
Ghosted. Again.
Undermined. Again.
Idiot boss/colleague/client idioting all over your face. Again.
Whatever flavour yours.
Always on is an impossibility (as is always growing, adding. More on that in a mo).
You don’t untangle the tangle f*ck that is your work / life / business by running faster, adding more. That’ll merely tighten your already clenched buttocks ever tighter. Is that even possible, I don't hear you ask?
You need to breathe new life into those aforementioned buttocks.
Let the tangle weaken, loosen.
Worry not, you’ll not fall apart. Or behind.
In slowing down, you’ll create space to see the bigger picture. You’ll tap into your all seeing, all knowing right hemisphere capabilities, among much other goodness.
Slow down… to speed up.
Cut away… to get more done.
Those pesky colleagues or annoying clients or bullying boss, they’re here to help you.
No, no, not in ‘a learn from your enemies’, self helpy kinda way.
No, they’re telling you YOU WORK HERE IS DONE! BURN THE BOAT! GET INTO THE SEA!
They’ll not change. So you must.
Be more Moana.
Yes, Moana, she the fearless explorer of heart and sea.
Moana’s epic journey away to come all the way back home isn’t a story of adding new sh*t, hustling to get more done.
Hers is a journey of cutting away the fat, of shedding story which no longer fits; getting nimble, light, lean.
Hers is a story of doing less to get more done, or going slower, to go faster. All the way back home.
That’s what your annoying colleagues / clients / cobblers (ed: err, don’t they fix shoes?) are telling you.
GET INTO THE SEA.
And if you’re worried, fear not. I have a boat. Ready and waiting for you. Over at LeanMind.
Plug in.
Get on.
Sail away.
Be done.
