The Temple On The Hill
Welcome to a private network for men ready to interrupt the drift, rekindle the fire and weave deeper connection.
There comes a time when pushing harder stops working.
Success feels thinner.
The rewards emptier.
You stuffed full of ideas which no longer fit.
You drift.
Busy.
Bouncing from one idea, stress or worry to the next.
You were taught to add.
Accumulate - habits, hacks, ideas.
Strategise.
Optimise.
Efficiency.
Growth at all costs.
And navigate to the top of your company tree, and the company to the top of its tree.
Maybe you are there. Or have been.
But these ideas are stuffing you up, slowing you down.
The old game is ending.
A new one itching to be born.
And it's more than you.
Look around. And out.
Multiple crises converge all together. Culture drifts, collapsing quickly and slowly. Things that feel abstract - a chat bot called Claude rewrites work and industry in ways we worry and sense and only just see. Meanwhile, global wars, near and far displace, destroy and dismantle. Ecologies, economies collapsing. Systemic coupling, they call it in wise circles. Multiple crises feeding into each other.
These are unsettling times. Unravelling. Drifting. But in this too, renewal.
You don't need more.
You need less.
In a noisy world, wise leaders subtract.
Your kids need this of you. Your partner. If you have either.
As do your colleagues, collaborators and co-conspirators.
And, if you're honest, you need this too.
This is the great simplification - subtracting what no longer fits, holding on less tight, working to a new rhythm, rooted in nature.
This is not about retreat, or burning the metaphorical house down.
It is toward clarity, purpose and meaning.
And in this, there is impact.
This is what I built LeanMind for.
And over time I've come to understand it as something simpler. I call it :
The Temple On The Hill.
Many people have walked their way to an outer success. They've navigated to the top of their trees. But in doing so a little bit of them died.
The Temple On The Hill is where we go to wake back up. To rekindle the fire. To find your art and live it.
Because the more you do, the brighter your light will shine.
And the brighter it shines, the rippling effects are profound.
“I’d spent twenty years adding. This is the first place I’ve been asked what I could put down.”
It's a private network. All men, spanning the globe.
Sensing, feeling into what comes next. For them, their work, friends and family.
They're learning to stand steady.
Why join.
It's a place to meet, reflect and connect, fostering spirit of community.
It's a place to learn how to stand steady.
To feel energy, enthusiasm and motivation again. To live well, with joy and delight…
Amidst these times.
How we gather.
In circles. And conversation.
Monthly online sessions, spanning time zones. Join as you can.
Whatsapp group as background.
In real life meets and retreats, a couple of times of a year.
And hosted small group cohorts, running slowly over a year - all in service of you, helping you rekindle your fire.
You might engage lightly or richly.
Together weaving new patterns of grace, creativity and insight - fostering community, relationship and connection as we do.

If this stirs something, come and sit in. Every few months I host an open circle. Write to me and I'll let you know when the next one is.
Or tell me where you are. Book a call. This work is rooted in conversation, so that's where I begin
Not ready for that? I write about this regularly. Read along here.
